After your channel has got some reputation and have at-least 100 subscribers with more than 1000 views than Google will automatically send you an email with title YouTube Partnership Program. Actually this program is all about advertisements which are displayed on videos and at the sidebar of these videos. Now if you want to earn money with YouTube you have to apply for this program which is actually a Google Adsense account. When you reply for this email with your personal information Google will setup a Free Adsense account for you with the same Gmail email you used earlier to open YouTube account.
After your Adsense account is fully approved Google will start showing ads around your videos as well as on the top of the videos so that when ever your video viewers clicks on that ads you earn money. Of course if you want to generate more revenue than you need to upload more clips as well as interesting stuff so that people like and share it with their friends too.
